SUMMARY:Santa Cruz Singers - Fauré Requiem - A Community Concert
DESCRIPTION:The Santa Cruz Foundation for the Performing Arts is proud to sponsor the Santa Cruz Singers in a performance of the Fauré Requiem – a choral treasure. The Santa Cruz Singers under the direction of Christina Wilhelm have been presenting high-quality performances here in Patagonia\, Sonoita\, Elgin\, Nogales\, Tubac (and once in Boston) for the past 22 years. \nIf you are a newcomer to the area you would have missed programs like the ones featuring the Vivaldi Gloria\, the concert version of Les Miserables\, Aaron Copland’s Early American Songs\, the cantata “Ecce Cor Meum” by Paul McCartney and a variety of concerts of traditional favorites\, including Broadway show tunes\, Holiday gems and special theme related fundraisers for other local non-profits. \nWe are fortunate to have a group dedicated to preserving this cultural art form – a non-auditioned community chorus – a rarity in all of Santa Cruz county. Friends and neighbors with backgrounds and experiences that are truly remarkable and diverse meet each week to share in the music that they have learned and practiced – a place where the differences come together to speak as one voice. \nThis year our team of 29 members has become a true testimony to what commitment and effort can produce. \nWe hope you will come and show your support. A donation of $10 will help us maintain this most valuable asset to the community. \n  \n\n

After years lost to chronic alcoholism\, tumultuous relationships and heartbreak\, she returned to the stage with sell out performances\, earning a Lifetime Achievement Grammy. \nCheck out the trailer and join us to see the entire film because we believe it will pair with the music of SabroSON! on Sunday. \nPopular Mexican music re-appears with a contemporary flair in the unique sound of SabroSON\, and the concert becomes a captivating immersion into the world of Mexican song. An amazing duo\, Martin Marquez and Adrian Perez spice up traditional Mexican folk music\, expertly blending the sounds of the guitar and the Mexican folk harp with modern twists and creative interpretations to create a truly unforgettable experience. \nThe movie begins at 8 on Friday and the concert starts at 7 on Sunday. Buy your tickets online at the special combo price of $20 for both events. \nIf you can’t join us for both\, individual tickets ($5 for the movie and $20 for the concert) will be available at the gate. \n

DESCRIPTION:Desert Fever – where jazz and enthusiasm collaborate and collide! \nPlease join us for a presentation in the Opera House courtyard by the Desert Fever Jazz Combo. \nIn 2015\, a small group of military musicians stationed at Fort Huachuca started a jazz ensemble known as the Cannonball Jazz Combo. They would provide music for a wide variety of events hosted by the commanding general that were attended by various dignitaries from across the nation. What began as a commitment to work-related duty extended to the creation of an off-duty ensemble – the Desert Fever Jazz Combo. \n  \n  \n
