DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcome 2022 with the violin duo of Grace Nakano and Emily Chao. \nColleagues at the Tucson Symphony Orchestra\, Grace and Emily have prepared a most intriguing program for a unique pairing of strings\, including selections from Bartok’s 44 Duos for 2 violins\, Sz. 98 based on folk music from many Eastern European countries\, Telemann’s Suite for Two Violins “Gulliver’s Travels”\, TWV 40:108\, and Ysaye’s compelling Sonata for Two Violins in A minor\, Op. posth\, written in 1924. \nA program of violin duets is a rarity on the concert stage – we are indeed fortunate to have the opportunity to enjoy this performance here at the Opera House. \n  \nNOTE: Tickets are $30 at the door on the day of the concert if seats are available. \n  \n
