Butter Quartet- A Benderly Concert Event

The Butter Quartet is a period-instrument string quartet based in the Netherlands, known for their vibrant, historically informed performances of early string quartet repertoire. The ensemble consists of Anna Jane Lester and Chloe Prendergast (violins), Isabel Franenberg (viola), and Evan Buttar (cello).
The quartet formed during their studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where they developed a shared passion for historically informed performance. They have since built a reputation for integrating research into late 18th- and early 19th-century performance practice into their interpretations, and for commissioning and performing new works for historically setup instruments.
