The Schubert Trout Piano Quintet – Raphael Lizama, Fanya Lin, Phillip Alejo, Juan David Mejia and Emily Chao closes the 2024 – 2025 season.
The official name for this work is the Piano Quintet in A major D.667. Rather than the usual piano quintet ensemble of piano plus string quartet, the Trout is written for piano, violin, viola, cello and double bass. It also has 5 movements, the 4th movement being a set of variations of Schubert’s earlier lied Die Forelle.
This stand alone composition is the entire program.
Prepaid admission is $30 – adult or $15 – student. You can pay online until noon on the day of the concert (using your preferred credit/debit card or PayPal) or by sending a check to SCFPA PO Box 873, Patagonia AZ 85624. Tickets purchased at the door on the day of the concert are $35/$20 (if seats are available)
