A Conversation Without Words featuring Timothy Kantor, Laura Casarez, Emily Chao and Juan Mejia
Imagine hearing a spirited conversation without words!
Today’s program is one of the highlights of our concert season. It features two composers: Franz Josef Haydn, whose contributions to the development of chamber music led him to be called the “Father of the String Quartet” and Antonin Dvorak who, inspired by the image of “Papa”Haydn wrote the Quartet in F major while living in America. In the compositions of Haydn and Dvorak the Art of the String Quartet comes alive as our musicians eloquently “talk”to each other with their instruments. We invite you to listen.
