Gifted musicians Evan Kory, piano – Juan Mejia, cello – Emily Chao, violin with guests artists Laura Cásarez, violin and Rafael Lizama, viola return to the Opera House with a program by two composers who come from opposite ends of the musical spectrum. Arvo Pärt, an Estonian composer of contemporary classical music, is a true minimalist while Robert Schumann is the quintessential romanticist of 19th-century classical music. Together this pairing blends seamlessly into a lovely expression of chamber music – elegant and passionate. The program:
