Make it a jazzy weekend, beginning with a special presentation of “Calle 54” at the Tin Shed Theater on Friday, June 7th, at 6 PM. Spanish director Fernando Truebo directed the 2000 documentary film about Latin jazz. Admission is $5 at the door.
Then join us in the courtyard of the Opera House on Sunday, June 9th when longtime Tucson percussionist Homero Cerón and his premier Latin jazz ensemble will headline the first concert of our Summer Series.
The Cool Breeze Latin Jazz quartet, which inaugurated the Century Room at the Hotel Congress in 2022, features Amilcar Guevera on piano, Mike Levy on electric bass, Danny Brito on drums and percussion, and Homero Cerón on vibraphone.
This concert will certainly make you want to dance. Don’t miss it!
Admission to the musical event is $20 if purchased online by 5 PM on the day of the event. Checks can also be sent to SCFPA prior to the event. Admission will be $25 at the gate.
