We are pleased to present Sara Fraker, oboist, Cassandra Bendickson, bassoonist and Mari Tomizuka, pianist.
What should you expect from a program that includes a “Morceau de Salon” for oboe, a “Yellow Poplar with Bird Song” for solo bassoon, a sonata by Camille Saint-Saens for bassoon and piano, and a “Pranayama” for oboe and piano? An intriguingly delightful concert!
Sara and Cassandra show what these double reed instruments can do when they perform as individuals on the concert stage.This seldom-heard solo repertoire played by these accomplished professionals when paired with the sonority of the piano, reaches its apex with the luscious and iconically French, Poulenc Trio.
Prepaid admission is $30 – adult or $15 – student. You can pay online until noon on the day of the concert (using your preferred credit/debit card or PayPal) or by sending a check to SCFPA PO Box 875, Patagonia AZ 85624. Tickets purchased at the door on the day of the concert are $35/$20 (if seats are available)
