In the Spring of 2021, we concluded our virtual Benderly Concert Series with four exciting concerts that were livestreamed on the SCFPA Facebook page. I In February we had the privilege of hearing Joseph Venegoni perform on hammered dulcimer and various Appalachian instruments such as the auto-harp and mountain dulcimer. A musical tradition that was aurally translated, Mr. Venegoni plays these expressive harmonic instruments with vitality and virtuosity. A captivating feature of this family of instruments is that they allow for musicians to be a complete one-man band.
